Upper Plenty Hall News (The Shack) February 2013

UPPER PLENTY HALL (THE SHACK) NEWS

Gang Gang Time eating the Hawthorn Berries on Bruces Creek Upper Plenty.

Our Australia day Breakfast was well-attended and, as usual, was a very relaxed and sociable event. Cr. Kevin Mulroney presented Susan and Wayne Bott with a Community Participation Award in recognition of many years of volunteering their time to multiple community groups. This award is very well-deserved by both and we hope to continue being recipients of their generosity in the years to come. Thanks to Margaret Christodoulou and Lindy Ashdowne for organising a terrific event, also to Mitchell Shire Council for providing the funding.

On a less happy note, two of our solar panels were stolen from the roof around 26-28 December. If anyone can help us recover the panels we would be very grateful. Unfortunately our insurance does not cover the loss.

Don’t forget you can earn credits toward hiring the hall at reduced cost( or for free!) by donating an hour or two of your time occasionally.
