UPPER PLENTY HALL (THE SHACK) NEWS November 2012
Our annual Christmas party will be held on Friday 7th December, starting 6pm. Always a great opportunity to catch up with neighbours and friends, keep this date free to also ensure you meet with the Man in Red and get your lolly bag! We will be using the same caterers as previous years, so we can expect a terrific 2 course meal. RSVP’s are essential to make sure there is adequate catering.
The Sunday lunch at the Beveridge Tavern was a very successful event and enjoyed by all who attended. The dining room was packed and the meal very good. Thanks to Alison and Deirdre who did the organising for this event which was fully funded from Bushfire Appeal Funds.
Congratulations to Margaret Christodoulou (ex Sticks ‘n’ Stones), who recently celebrated her 50th birthday by holding a fund-raiser at the Shack for the Northern Cancer Support group. Margaret raised $800 for the group which will fund an extra weekly support group for cancer sufferers.
