Upper Plenty Hall News (The Shack) August 2012

UPPER PLENTY HALL (THE SHACK) News for August & Events for September 2012

Our personalised pavers have now been laid around the perimeter of the outdoor area. They look great! Thanks to Gerard Payne for pick-up and delivery of the pavers to the hall, and to Jeremy Clark for laying them.

The Committee of management are pleased to announce our success in obtaining funding through the Mitchell Shire Community Grants which will support our annual Christmas event and the Australia Day Breakfast. We have also received $1000.00 to put towards the purchase of a shade sail over the playground.

Planting around the creek has begun. There are hundreds of plants to put in so any help will be very welcome. If you would like to help out with this please contact Rose 5783-1661. You can also join our volunteer group Friends of the Shack and earn credits towards hire of the Shack.

The Committee of Management would like to extend their very best wishes to Carol Peachy and her husband who were critically injured in an accident on the Whittlesea-Wallan Road in mid-August. We are happy to report they are both making good progress.
